Located in Newport News, our campus aims to foster more than just the academic integrity of your child—we help your child thrive in and outside of the classroom. The campus provides students with the chance to explore their world and cultivate critical thinking skills in an environment that promotes both academic and overall achievement and growth. Drop by any Wednesday between 9 am and noon—no RSVP required—to get a feel for student life at Hampton Roads Academy. Led by our Office of Admissions, this admissions event covers all grade levels and provides valuable information on the admission process. The goal is to help your child envision themselves as a student at our school and discover what makes our school unique.
A prospective student spends a portion of the day on campus alongside one of our Student Ambassadors. This prospective student will typically attend 3-4 classes, eat lunch with our students, and meet with teachers and faculty. This Shadow Day can be completed in conjunction with or separate from the Admission Assessment. For more information about Shadow Days, contact us!
Spend a morning with us to see what we’re all about! The Office of Admissions is excited to host Mornings At HRA, an on-campus admissions event for future Navigators and their families who are interested in learning more about our Middle and Upper Schools. Learn more about our rigorous curriculum, comprehensive college counseling support and real-word learning opportunities for our students in Grades 5-12. Send us an email to save your spot!
