HRA’s Chase Worley signs with NJIT

Hampton Roads Academy senior, Chase Worley, recently signed with New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) to play Division I Lacrosse next year.
Coach Travis Johnson, the newly named head coach at NJIT, is a former collegiate lacrosse player, collegiate level assistant coach, and former member of the professional Rochester Knighthawks lacrosse team.

“Chase arrived at HRA as a transfer student in 2011 from Tabb High School. Since then, he has played an instrumental role in of our success over the past three years. After tearing his ACL in the pre-season of last year and watching his team go to the final four of the state tournament without him, Chase worked tirelessly in the off-season working on his strength and overall conditioning,” said Coach Michael O’Brien. “He was able to attend several recruiting camps this fall after only a week of being cleared for full participation. This commitment to NJIT not only means a great deal for lacrosse on the peninsula but for Chase. Since Chase and I met it has been his dream to play lacrosse at a Division I institution. That dream has now become a reality.”
